About Us
Dance Elite LC is a dance school that is owned by Courtnay. The school is based in Brotherton, Beal and Staynor Hall (Leeds, Selby and Wakefield). We pride ourselves on the importance of child/youth development. We work with variety of children to improve team building exercises, focusing on communication skills; leadership skills, listening skills, self-esteem and building new friendships. Building confidence in children and supporting self-belief will build their abilities, skills and experiences. Dancing helps children to improve a general healthy lifestyle. Having the ability to self-manage their well-being before and after physical activity e.g. warming up and stretching their body to prevent injury.

Dance Elite LC offers a wide range of dance styles; street dance, hip hop, commercial, contemporary, jazz, cheerleading, musical theatre, cultural dances, Acro, dance fitness and many more. In addition, our dance teachers are DBS checked, insured and first aid trained. We are highly trained in teaching dance from International Dance Teacher Association training, BA Honours Dance Practice Degree, Acrobatic Arts, NATD Contemporary, IDTA Teacher, Building from the Ground up and Zumba Instructor qualifications. "Dance has always been a powerful source of inspiration for me. The ability to create and perform — whether interpreting someone else's choreography or bringing my own artistic vision to life — is an incredible feeling. I hold a First-Class BA (Hons) in Dance Practice from Liverpool John Moores University and have worked across the UK as a freelance dancer and teacher. My training spans a wide range of styles, including IDTA Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Contemporary, and Street Dance. I furthered my development at Runway House in London and was honoured to be part of the Elite Company Team at Koby Studio in Leeds.
I am a qualified teacher in Acrobatic Arts, NATD Contemporary, IDTA, Zumba, and Building from the Ground Up — qualifications that reflect my dedication to both the art and the craft of dance education.
As a neurodivergent individual, I understand deeply the importance of creativity and the need for a space where everyone feels seen, valued, and safe to express themselves. I believe that dance should be accessible to all, and I strive to create an inclusive environment that encourages individuality, self-expression, and confidence.
Teaching children holds a special place in my heart. Dance empowers young people to explore their creativity, build resilience, and grow in both body and mind. Watching a child develop not only as a dancer but as a confident, expressive individual is one of the most rewarding parts of my work. I love sharing ideas, communicating through movement, and inspiring young dancers to find their own voice. It’s a privilege to guide their journey and to help them discover their full potential."
