What age groups do you teach?

We offer classes for children and young people from around age 3 up to 18 years. Sessions are grouped by age and ability to ensure a safe, supportive, and enjoyable learning environment.

Do children need previous dance experience to join?
Not at all. We welcome complete beginners through to experienced dancers. Our classes focus on building confidence, coordination, and technique at a pace suitable for each group.

Is Dance Elite LC suitable for nervous or shy children?
Absolutely. We pride ourselves on creating a positive, inclusive, and confidence-building environment, helping every child feel supported, encouraged, and proud of their progress.

Dance Styles

 

What dance styles do you offer?
We offer a wide range of styles, which may vary by age group and location, including:

  • Street Dance- (Hip Hop and Commercial)

  • Contemporary- (Jazz)

  • Musical Theatre

  • Acrobatic Arts

This variety allows children to explore different styles while developing strong technical and performance skills.

Teachers & Safety

 

Are your teachers qualified and DBS checked?
Yes. All instructors are fully qualified, DBS checked, insured, and first-aid trained. Safeguarding and child wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do.

How do you ensure children’s safety during classes?
Safety is our top priority. Classes include appropriate warm-ups, movements are adapted to individual ability, and all sessions follow strict safeguarding and risk assessment procedures.

Class Information

 

What should my child wear to class?
Children should wear comfortable dancewear or sports clothing they can move freely in. Trainers or appropriate dance shoes are usually required depending on the class style, and long hair should be tied back.

 

Where are classes held?
Classes take place at various schools and community venues across Selby, Leeds, Wakefield, North Yorkshire, and West Yorkshire. Full location details are provided upon enquiry or booking.

Payment & Booking

 

How does payment work?
Classes are booked via a one-off payment per block or term, rather than weekly payments. This secures your child’s place and allows us to plan and deliver high-quality sessions consistently.

How do I book or enquire about classes?
You can contact us via email, social media, or the enquiry form on our website. We’ll be happy to help you find the most suitable class for your child.

How do I get my child started?
Getting started is easy:

  1. Get in touch to express interest

  2. Receive class availability, pricing, and booking details

  3. Complete the registration form

  4. Make the one-off payment to secure your child’s place

Once booked, your child can attend and enjoy their classes.

Extra Opportunities

Do you run holiday camps and school clubs?
Yes. We run holiday dance camps during school breaks and after-school clubs at selected schools throughout the term.

Will my child have performance opportunities?
Yes. Children may have opportunities to perform at showcases, school events, local events and optional competitions, helping to build confidence, teamwork, and stage presence.
